LFC World heads to Mumbai

Mumbai has today been confirmed as the next stop for LFC World presented by Standard Chartered. The three day event will be bringing Liverpool Football Club directly to LFC fans in India. The roadshow will feature a range of activities that will engage fans of all ages and provide exciting opportunities to meet LFC former players.

Last season the fan experience visited Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and Shanghai meeting thousands of fans along the way. The unique experience will arrive at the High Street Phoenix, Mumbai from the 8th – 10th December 2017.

Liverpool FC Legends Sami Hyypiä, Robbie Fowler, Luis Garcia and Vladimir Smicer will be visiting Mumbai. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the former players as well as Club Mascot Mighty Red at LFC World signing sessions throughout the weekend.

Reds in Mumbai will be able to experience a dressing room photo station where fans can sit under the shirts of their favourite players – Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah to recreate their own iconic dressing room image. They will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken with one of the most iconic trophies in world football - the Champions League Trophy.

Fans of football and all things technology can experience “Inside Anfield” — a sneak peek into Anfield made possible by Standard Chartered Bank utilising Virtual Reality (VR) technology. With the aid of a headset and earphones, the content puts fans in the players’ shoes and gives a unique insight into the team’s inner sanctum. Fans can experience how it feels to be in a Jürgen Klopp team talk in the dressing room, and walk out from the players’ tunnel in front of the home crowd.

Fans will also be able to experience the drama, scale and excitement of scoring at Anfield through a state of the art VR experience that is the first of its kind. The platform, which is an elite level tool used by professional footballers, will put fans in the shoes of an LFC player and give them the rush of scoring in front of the Kop.

The Kop Cinema is an immersive motion picture to give fans the feeling of matchday at Anfield as well as other highlights from the Club’s history. By entering through retro turnstiles and standing on the iconic Kop terrace, this captivating activation will be one to remember.

On the final day, dedicated Reds fans can share the Anfield atmosphere at a viewing party on Sunday 10th December, where Liverpool FC’s derby game against Everton FC.
